Comunidad Feral

Welcome to the Feral Community

Teamwork or community collaboration is challenging in today’s society, but through the management of cat colonies, we have proved that we are capable of fighting together for a common goal by creating Feral Community A stable, united and efficient community that has more than 3 years now, achieving goals that seemed impossible.

Through Pienso Feral, we have organized advisory groups (both for animal health and nutrition), talks and conferences on feline nutrition, awareness-raising campaigns in schools and institutes, food donations, coverage for surgeries, castrations and sterilizations, hospitalizations and adoptions. In the near future and through the FERAL FOUNDATION, we will create the first Animal Social Security system.

Thanks to all the members of this Community, and above all, thank you for having that huge capacity of fighting and sacrificing to protect the most vulnerable ones. Thank you to all those true heroes and heroines: the colony managers. Without them, thousands and thousands of feral cats would have died today in pain, hunger or cold… and in solitude.

Thank you for demonstrating that community collaboration is possible, and not only possible, it is the hope for the future we want.

Thank you, colleagues, for seeing gold where others saw stones…

What it means to participate in a Community

Do you want to know how to participate in our Feral Community?

1. Register as a foster home
It is one of the essential tasks of animal protection, because without a temporary home where they can receive love and care until their final adoption, rescuers and associations would not be able to continue saving lives. Send us an e-mail to: info@piensoferal.es

2. Donate food
Many colleagues watch helplessly as the health of the most disadvantaged deteriorates due to poor nutrition and lack of resources. A bag of quality food delivered on time can save a life.

3. Volunteering
Volunteer to manage feral cat colonies. Many of our managers are getting older, and the food, medications, and cleaning supplies become increasingly burdensome for them each day Spending a little time each day or even once a week with them means the world for both the managers and the little ferals.
Volunteering in trap and release programs and in animal shelters. Write us an email to: info@piensoferal.es explaining the type of volunteering you would do and your town.

If you are a professional (veterinarian, lawyer, community manager, journalist, etc.) your knowledge could help us by providing advice or occasional collaborations, and it would be invaluable to us.
